5-WEEK SON CUBANO COURSE
Welcome to Our Son Cubano Course – Roots, Musicality & Elegant Cuban Style
Step into the roots of Cuban music and dance with our Son Cubano course. Here you’ll connect your Cuban salsa experience with the traditional style behind it, focusing on elegance, control and musicality. Expect a relaxed, friendly atmosphere where we work seriously on technique – but always with a lot of sabor and enjoyment.
Who is this course for?
This course is for dancers with an intermediate to advanced level in Cuban salsa/casino who want to explore Cuban Son in more depth.
It’s ideal if you already feel confident with Cuban partner work and would like to dance with more elegance, control and musicality.
What you will learn
We will work on solo movement and partner work, focusing on:

Refining known basic steps and adding new variations to make your dance more elegant.

Dancing to different tempos, from slower to more upbeat music, improving your musicality and interpretation.

Learning Son-style partner work: paseos, turns, “tornillos”, footwork games, cha-cha-cha flavour and playful timing.

Developing styling for leaders and followers: shoulders, arms, posture and presence.

Getting a brief introduction to the history and roots of Cuban Son.
Teacher
Julio Cesar
Julio brings years of experience teaching Cuban styles, with a focus on musical interpretation, connection and authenticity. His classes are fun, structured and full of Son flavour, helping you dance with more control and confidence.
