Welcome to Our Son Cubano II Course – Roots, Musicality & Elegant Cuban Style
Deepen your Son Cubano journey with our advanced continuation course. Building on the foundations of Cuban salsa and traditional Son style, this intermediate-to-advanced level course takes your technique, artistry, and musical connection to the next level. Continue exploring the elegance, sophistication and soul of authentic Cuban dance in an atmosphere where passion and precision go hand in hand.
Who is this course for?
This course is for dancers who have intermediate-to-advanced experience in Cuban partner work. Whether you've completed Son Cubano I or come with equivalent experience in Cuban salsa or Son style, you're ready to master advanced techniques, deepen your musicality, develop your personal style, and truly embody the spirit and authenticity of Son Cubano.
What you will learn
We will work on solo movement and partner work, focusing on:
• Advanced variations, syncopated footwork and complex body isolations to elevate your technical level.
• Deepening musicality: dancing to intricate Son arrangements and understanding the clave structure.
• Advanced partner dynamics: connection, leading/following nuances, and authentic Son-style improvisation.
• Building your own style: developing signature movements and personal expression within the tradition.
• Exploring the deeper history, regional styles and cultural significance of Cuban Son.
• Performance presence: confidence, stage awareness and dancing with true artistry and sabor.

Julio Cesar
Julio brings years of experience teaching Cuban styles, with a focus on musical interpretation, connection and authenticity. His classes are fun, structured and full of Son flavour, helping you dance with more control and confidence.

We design our courses with careful planning to ensure balanced rotations and the best experience for everyone. Once enrolled, classes are non-refundable and cannot be transferred or exchanged for drop-in lessons. We encourage consistent attendance to get the most out of your learning journey.
